Some swag is just for me.

Not all the swag for Proton Charging's tenth anniversary is available to the masses - some of it is just for me.

Nice !

Nice, I love it... post the logo in high resolution, so I can trace it on CorelDRAW and print my own tees!! ;)

Well, the one-off prototype cost $70 (it's very high quality hoodie and printing) - If I think of a way to share at a more reasonable price, I'll certainly do that.

maybe if you were to set up a little system where we could donate to keep pc up and running, you could email us a nice high quality scan of the logo to print out ourselves. it could work, especially if your a big guy like me and these wimpy 2x shirts don't work for ya!

It's not a bad idea, but I don't really need help keeping PC up and running. Like I said, if I can find a good system to produce a run of shirts, I will.

I still have not gotten the adress so I can send for the buttons!

Posted by: Jade at October 25, 2006 12:05 PM

I haven't gotten an email from you - email me again.

Well, you could always open a shop at cafepress.
Profit-margin is low but it's a good way to get shirts, hoodies, thongs, whatever out there to people who want them without having to handle production yourself. Quality is quite good too.

Proton Charging Thongs? I'm there.

Well, between you and me (and the internet), I have opened a CafePress site, a few months back - I'm very carefully looking into it more though. I haven't been happy with the quality of some of the stuff they produce, and I find their shipping pricey, especially if you're outside the US, as you only have the one shipping option.

Stay tuned.

Depends if Chris here could be done for breaching copyright with Cafepress... I've been led to believe that CP has a fairly strict policy as to what can and can't be put on a shirt/hoodie/mug or thong.

They actually ok'd the design already - I had a small test run of the buttons made through them until I found better, cheaper, closer options. Unless I were to make significant dollars from the venture, which is not the point and ideally I'd be charging the CP basic price only, I doubt it would be an issue.

Chris

Here are a couple of CafePress alternatives.

http://www.spreadshirt.com (Canada: http://www.spreadshirt.ca)
http://www.customink.com (Canada: http://www.customink.com/cink/r.jsp?C=64)

I don't know how good they are as I've never used either of them. There was a time that I was considering making my own merchandise for sale on Spook Central. I would have used the photos of Ecto-1 (and other "star cars") that I took at auto shows a few years ago. As the photographer of the photos, I own the copyright on them, so I don't have to worry about that. If anything, I'd have to worry about trademarks, but if I'm careful about what I show and what text I add, I should be okay. However, I ultimately decided not to do it as it just didn't seem worth the time and hassle.

I like the shirt and the logo. Hopefully there can be some way we can get one 2.

Thanks Paul - handy links. Some limitations in the print options, but they could be do-able.

Being able to offer for both the US and Canada is a big plus.

Hey, always glad to help... and hug!

Posted by: Paul Rudoff at November 1, 2006 10:28 PM

I can do those up for you on light-coloured shirts two blocks from your home, Mr Stewart. At a reasonable price. I'm just sayin' is all.

Also if you want to share the eBay store I'll be opening up, can do.
