There are hundreds of dedicated fans online. In this section, Proton Charging will try
to direct you to some of the thriving chat rooms, message boards, and other online meeting places
where you can meet other Ghostbusters fans just like you.
Google Blogsearch
Google has begun a search engine that will scour blogs for all things Ghostbusters and present them to you.
A great way to find like-minded individuals to read about and even contact.
Check it out.
Ghostbusters Message Board
Started in late 1997 (unless I'm way off) by Bill Emkow, webmaster of The Ghostbusters Homepage,
as a way to bring more fans
to the Homepage, the message board has fast become one of the largest gathering of
Ghostbusters anywhere online.
Bill has gone on to other things and handed over the
board to Chad Paulson, who moved it to his own site (Ghostbusters.net).
Chad has been working hard to maintain, if not improve the spirit of the original board, and as a bonus, has created a
web=based Ghostbusters chat room.

GBHQ Message Board
Started as an alternative to the GBFF and GBN message boards, the GBHQ board is another excellent
place to chat GB etc. with likeminded individuals. The rules allow for way more adult oriented conversations, so
parents, kids, and the thin-skinned should beware.

Weaver Hall
Started by 88mph Studios, this is a Ghostbusters message board sanctioned by Sony Entertainment.

alt.movies.ghostbusters
The grandpa of all the Ghostbusters message boards is this usenet group.
You don't need much to post. Just an internet connection and a news reader.
It's possible that your ISP doesn't subscribe to this group (mine didn't for a couple of years).
Give 'em heck and they'll start getting it for you. But be polite.

If you don't have access to usenet through your ISP you can always read and post through online
usenet access sites like
Deja News
Ghostbusters Fan Forum Creative Think Tank HomePage
Say that three times fast.
Another long standing ghosthead haunt, the Think Tank is only page of Doreen's
massive, online, Ghostbusters empire.
Initially a Delphi message board, the discussions have no moved to a new location.
Part of move included dividing the typical discussions into their own seperate
discussion areas (fan fic, general, etc.).

Yahoo Groups
There are dozens of Ghostbuster clubs at Yahoo Groups. A few in particular stand out, having the most members and the
most consistant postings. You will have to
register in order to post on the group message boards or access thier files, but the process is automated and fast.
The Class Five Club - I loved the name of this club so much I signed up and made them a logo.
This club, created by Dave (webmaster for The Ghostbusters Firehouse).
Extreme Ghostbusters Files - This one is specifically for Extreme Ghostbusters
fans out there.
RGB Fan Fiction - One of the best places for fans who want to write GB based fiction to talk with other writers
and discuss all manner of things having to do with writing Ghostbusters fan fiction.
Ghostbusters Web Rings
An old web tradition is the Web Ring. Like minded websites link to one another in a ring,
with the creator and maintainer of the web ring in the center. If you have a web page and
are looking to show it off to ghostheads, a GB Web Ring is a good way to go.
Currently, there are two Ghostbusters web rings.
The Ghostbuster Homepage Web Ring
The Alternate Ghostbuster Web Ring
Real Ghostbusters IRC
For those of you who are a tad more net savvy, you can join in the RGB IRC chat at irc.autobotnation.com (#realghostbusters).
You will need an IRC utility, like mIRC or Trillian, to join the discussion and the chat it's open to the general public, so you will have to
contact the operators to be given access. Like I said, it's the super-technical way to talk to other fans.
